At the fund raiser, I met Dianne Billig who runs a program called Yoga Cookie. She donated her time and held a yoga class for children. I enrolled my daughter in her class and she came out raving about how much fun she had. She wants me to sign her up for more!
For more information on Dianne's yoga for children, visit: www.yogacookie.com.
In case you were wondering what the Cookie means in the company name, Yoga Cookie; Dianne not only runs a fantastic program for children, but she also bakes the most delicious cookies. She brought a tray of cookies for everyone to enjoy. (No, I'm not telling you how many cookies I ate!)

Fund Raiser Continued
Mind Body Connection Fund Raiser
One of the reasons I love being at Mind Body Connection Pilates/Yoga/Spinning studio in Davie ... Mindy Orlinsky is a member of Mind Body Connection. She is one of the oldest Cystic Fibrosis survivors who's health is deteriorating and now is in need of a lung transplant. On May 3rd they held classes where 100% of the proceeds went to help the Orlinsky family cover uninsured medical expenses and related costs. Here are some of the images from that event.
In case you missed the May 3rd event, they are doing it again on Saturday, May 10th.

Women's Business Mastermind Group
I was honored to be the photographer at the 2008 Women Helping Women: Business Opportunity Expo & Luncheon this past weekend. The keynote speakers were Florida Congresswoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Broward County Commissioner, Stacy Ritter. There were over 300 attendees with everyone having the same goal, raising money for Gilda's Club South Florida.
Barbara Theodosiou is the Founder & Regional Director of Women's Business Mastermind Group and Mommy Mentor's. She did a wonderful job organizing this event.
